10 best survey sites to make extra money
Looking for some of the best sites for online surveys that actually pay? This list provides you with tried and true companies that payout in cash (paypal) or gift cards. This is an easy way to get paid for your opinions.
How to earn money from survey sites?
- To make things easier for yourself, create a separate email address for survey emails.
- Sign up with several companies to maximize your earnings. This way you can complete more than 1-2 surveys a week.
- Surveys invites will start appearing in your inbox.
- Fill them out and start getting paid for your opinions.
Earning cash via surveys can definitely give you a little boost in cash, especially if you fill them out while watching TV or when you have a few moments to spare.
However, that being said, the payout per individual survey is small which is why your best approach is to sign up with several companies at the same time.
In addition, companies like PineCone Research randomly have surveys where you receive a new product to try and then provide your opinion on. Many times you also get to keep these products. Plus, you can also get invites to special consumer panels for big name stores like JC-Penney or Macy’s. These can also be a lot of fun because you get to see and try out new products and have your input go into the design.
This is a sample of what one of our readers made in the last couple of years. But this does not include all the freebies and special higher paying surveys that they have had access to with these survey sites.

2. Survey Savvy
SurveySavvy belongs to Luth Research. If you happen to live in the San Diego area, you should consider attending their focus groups. These pay a lot more than online surveys since you have a one-on-one interaction with the surveying company.
SurveySavvy is another site that has decent surveys with a decent pay but you may not always qualify for them. However, where I have made most of my money with SurveySavvy is through their digital tracking software for internet enabled devices. If you are worried about privacy issues etc, you can use a spare computer that you have with SurveySavvy’s software. All the data that is collected by SurveySavvy is simply for information on your internet behaviors. As well, each and every company that is part of SurveySavvy’s digital tracking program has to have a valid certificate which is all made available to you. I have qualified for a variety of surveys through their digital tracking software and each has a pretty good payout. Cashout method is a cheque and there is no minimum to request payment. Valued Opinions is another really good site and they are available in more than 30 different countries. What’s nice about this panel is that survey payouts are clear and payments on average range from $1 -$5, sometimes more. Many of these surveys are for new products concepts and product testing which makes them pretty enjoyable. Cashout amounts range from $22 – $25. You can also redeem your payouts in the form of various e-gift cards including Visa, Macy’s, Amazon, Restaurant.com, Southwest Airlines and i-Tunes. Get started with Valued Opinions here.
Inbox dollars offers a very easy way to earn cash. You can earn two cents for every email they send to you. However, you do not actually need to read the emails. Simply click on the links and you can close the window that opens up right away. Inbox Dollars also have several surveys that you can complete each day. But the big money on Inbox Dollars comes from completing their offers. I have signed up for several offers via Inbox Dollars. Other methods to earn with Inbox Dollars include playing games, watching videos and purchasing products through their ‘Deals’. You can cashout once you reach $30 via a check. A little known perk of using Inbox Dollars is that you can earn $0.10 for each coupon you print and redeem from Coupons.com. Another great way to save on groceries and toiletries. Click here to get started with Inbox Dollars and receive a $5 signup bonus.
This is another one of my favorite sites as each survey pays a flat $3. Surveys do not come by as often but there is no minimum to cashout and they have amazing customer service as well. Payment methods include cash payment via Paypal or a check or you can select a product from their extensive rewards catalog. Get started with PineCone Research here.
6. One Opinion
This is one of my favorite sites as they have several surveys a day. I usually qualify for at least 2-3 a day. I really like this survey panel as they never pay you less than $1 – $2. You can cash out at $25 for a prepaid Visa card. I have also had the opportunity to perform in-home product tests which pay more than a few dollars via this site. The customer service is also great with this site if you run into problems. Get started with OneOpinion here.
MintVine is fairly easy to get setup and started. Surveys range from 150 -300 points. You can cashout from Mintvine when you reach 1000 points which equates to $10. If you do not see a survey from MintVine in your inbox, it’s because you need to login to the site to access your surveys. They simply use your email as a way to recognize you when you enter their site. Get started with MintVine here.
This is a another site that has interesting surveys and product tests. There is a low cashout of 1000 points which equates to $10. You can redeem your cash through Paypal or in the form of gift cards from Macy’s, Amazon, various Bloomin’ Brands restaurants (Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, Roy’s, or Fleming’s Steakhouse). 9. Survey Spot
Surveys are fairly easy and you can cashout once you reach 1000 points ($10). Cashout methods include PayPal, Amazon gift cards, Mileage Plus Award Miles (United), iTunes gift card, and a variety of prizes from their WebShop. The site also has quarterly drawings for $10,000 and you earn entries by completing surveys. Click here to get started with Survey Spot.
10. Ipsos i-Say
This is another one of my favorite sites since they have a variety of ways to earn. Also, what’s nice is that even if you do not qualify for a survey, you can still earn points. In addition, along with earning cash, you can qualify for in-home product tests and on-line panels and sometimes in-store shopping trip surveys that you complete on your smartphone. Ipsos i-Say also offers weekly poll prize draws that you can earn entries for completing surveys. Plus you get loyalty points – the more surveys you take, the more points you earn.
