Which are your favorite money saving apps for groceries?

  • Ramona

I enjoy using Ibotta, Counter 51 and Acme Mixx. I was not successful with Saving Star or Receipt Hog( Saving Star would not down load and Receipt Hog was busy and I wasn’t able to use it because of too much volume on the site.) I think that apps do provide a good way to plan and save on groceries. I also use a warehouse-discount grocery store in my area to save BIG money and we have a coupon collection in the library that is free to use. I save about 50% on my food bill combining the store circulars, coupons stacking (w/ paper coupons, apps and sales)I use my savings to maintain a food pantry in my home(no hoarding) as well as to donate to a nearby food pantry in my area.

    • I agree. Ibotta and Checkout 51 are amazing when it comes to saving money. And of course, most grocery stores have their own digital coupons. Also, to save time I will check for websites that offer coupon matchups for my local grocery store. They map out all the deals to save me even more time and money. Here are some good matchups for Acme, if you did not already know about it. And for sure, this is a great way to keep your food pantry stocked.
